Paris: Where can you see the best Christmas decorations for 2024?

Like every year, the city of Paris lights up for the Christmas festivities! The festivities begin in November, with incredible decorations adorning the capital until early January. But where exactly are the best Christmas decorations for 2024 in Paris?

Galeries Lafayette

On Boulevard Haussmann, the Christmas windows and giant Christmas tree at Galeries Lafayette are a must-see in the capital! It's a tradition that this department stores' has been offering since 1976, where young and old alike come to admire the enchantment of the windows, which come alive with new themes every year. Then inside the shop, under the great dome, sits the incredible giant Christmas tree, designed for Christmas 2024 by Kevin Germanier.

Village Royal

Every year, the magic of Christmas takes hold of the Village Royal. It's a majestic setting, in this little passageway at 25 Rue Royale, linking Place de la Madeleine to Place de la Concorde.

Place Vendôme

Place Vendôme, famous for its luxury jewellery stores and the location of the famous Ritz, lights up especially for Christmas. Over the years, the decorations are renewed to offer visitors ever more dazzling displays.

BHV Marais

This year, the BHV Marais, located on the forecourt of Paris City Hall, is immersed in the Christmas festivities. For the occasion, the department stores' is transformed into an enchanted house, where mischievous elves live and Father Christmas takes up residence on the 5th floor to take a break with the children, who have been very good, of course! 

Bercy Village

Cour Saint-Emilion’ metro station on line 14 is the final stop for this little village on the outskirts of Bercy. A cobbled street, where one shop follows another to make way for this central alley, which changes its decor with the seasons.

Forum des Halles

In the heart of Paris, under the canopy of the Forum des Halles, you'll find one of the biggest Christmas trees in Paris. It's a marvellous backdrop, where you can pause to take photos before returning to your shopping in one of the many shops in this shopping centre.
